D\u00e9sormais En\u00e9o l\u2019actuelle soci\u00e9t\u00e9 charg\u00e9e du transport et de la commercialisation de l\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique au Cameroun sera dispens\u00e9e du volet transport.<br \/>\nLe d\u00e9cret  du Pr\u00e9sident camerounais souligne clairement que le transport et l\u2019entretien du r\u00e9seau de distribution de l\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique rel\u00e8ve dor\u00e9navant de la Sonatrel. La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 nationale de transport de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 est une entit\u00e9 \u00e0 capitaux publics. Elle vient ainsi compl\u00e9ter une architecture du secteur de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 camerounaise dont les principaux acteurs sont : EDC (Electricity Developement coorporation) qui a la responsabilit\u00e9 des gros investissements dans le secteur.<br \/>\nEnsuite Sonatrel qui se charge de transporter l\u2019\u00e9nergie produite et enfin En\u00e9o qui assume le charge de la commercialisation. Pour le consommateur l\u2019effet logique devrait \u00eatre la baisse des prix au niveau des factures puisque le co\u00fbt du transport de l\u2019\u00e9nergie ne sera plus directement appliqu\u00e9 dans la facturation de propos\u00e9e par l\u2019entreprise En\u00e9o.<br \/>\nLa qualit\u00e9 de la fourniture en \u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique devrait \u00e9galement connaitre une am\u00e9lioration d\u2019autant plus que le transport de l\u2019\u00e9nergie requiert de gros investissements qui jusqu\u2019ici n\u2019ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 fait pas les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s \u00e0 capitaux priv\u00e9es qui se sont succ\u00e9d\u00e9es dans la gestion de la distribution de l\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e9lectrique au Cameroun.<br \/>\n Le r\u00e9seau actuel de transport de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 est v\u00e9tuste et date de plus d\u2019une vingtaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 il date de l\u2019\u00e9poque de la construction des principaux barrages hydro\u00e9lectriques du Cameroun. Avec la construction de nouvelles structures de production \u00e9lectrique, il \u00e9tait imp\u00e9ratif de construire de nouveaux r\u00e9seaux de transport.
