{"id":192092,"date":"2020-02-24T13:37:46","date_gmt":"2020-02-24T13:37:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afrikmag.com\/var\/www\/vhosts\/afrikmag.compublic_html\/?p=192092"},"modified":"2020-02-24T13:37:49","modified_gmt":"2020-02-24T13:37:49","slug":"coronavirus-le-chef-de-loms-appelle-lafrique-a-se-preparer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afrikmag.com\/var\/www\/vhosts\/afrikmag.compublic_html\/coronavirus-le-chef-de-loms-appelle-lafrique-a-se-preparer\/","title":{"rendered":"Coronavirus : le chef de l\u2019OMS appelle l\u2019Afrique \u00e0 se pr\u00e9parer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le Directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019Organisation mondiale de la sant\u00e9 (OMS), Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, a appel\u00e9 le samedi 22 f\u00e9vrier 2020 l\u2019Afrique \u00e0 se pr\u00e9parer \u00e0 la propagation \u00e9ventuelle de l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie de nouveau coronavirus (COVID-19) sur le continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab Notre plus\ngrande pr\u00e9occupation reste le potentiel de propagation de COVID-19 dans les\npays o\u00f9 les syst\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 sont plus faibles \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Dr Tedros lors\nd\u2019une r\u00e9union minist\u00e9rielle d\u2019urgence sur ce virus organis\u00e9 par l\u2019Union\nafricaine et les Centres pour la pr\u00e9vention et le contr\u00f4le des maladies\nd\u2019Afrique. \u00ab Nous travaillons dur pour pr\u00e9parer les pays africains \u00e0 l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e\npotentielle du virus \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab Les signes\ncroissants de transmission en dehors de la Chine (d\u2019o\u00f9 est partie la maladie)\nmontrent que la fen\u00eatre d&rsquo;opportunit\u00e9 que nous avons pour contenir ce virus se\nr\u00e9tr\u00e9cit. Nous appelons tous les pays \u00e0 investir d&rsquo;urgence dans la pr\u00e9paration\n\u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Chine a\nd\u00e9sormais notifi\u00e9 75.569 cas \u00e0 l\u2019OMS, dont 2.239 d\u00e9c\u00e8s, a-t-il pr\u00e9cis\u00e9. Les\ndonn\u00e9es de la Chine continuent de montrer une baisse du nombre de nouveaux cas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;\u00ab C&rsquo;est une bonne nouvelle, mais elle doit\n\u00eatre interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e avec beaucoup de prudence. Il est beaucoup trop t\u00f4t pour faire\ndes pr\u00e9dictions sur cette \u00e9pid\u00e9mie \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le chef de l\u2019OMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En dehors de\nla Chine, il y a maintenant 1.200 cas dans 26 pays, avec 8 d\u00e9c\u00e8s. Il y a un cas\nconfirm\u00e9 sur le continent africain, en Egypte. Plusieurs pays africains ont\ntest\u00e9 des cas suspects de COVID-19, mais ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 n\u00e9gatifs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&rsquo;OMS a\nidentifi\u00e9 13 pays prioritaires en Afrique en raison de leurs liens directs avec\nla Chine ou de leur volume \u00e9lev\u00e9 de voyages avec la Chine. Un nombre croissant\nde pays africains sont d\u00e9sormais en mesure de tester le COVID-19 avec des kits\nde test de laboratoire fournis par l&rsquo;OMS, contre un seul il y a seulement\nquelques semaines, a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 Dr Tedros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Certains pays\nd&rsquo;Afrique, notamment la R\u00e9publique d\u00e9mocratique du Congo (RDC), tirent\n\u00e9galement parti des capacit\u00e9s qu&rsquo;ils ont accumul\u00e9es pour tester le virus Ebola,\npour tester le COVID-19, s\u2019est-il f\u00e9licit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019OMS a\n\u00e9galement exp\u00e9di\u00e9 plus de 30.000 ensembles d\u2019\u00e9quipements de protection\nindividuelle dans plusieurs pays d\u2019Afrique et est pr\u00eate \u00e0 exp\u00e9dier pr\u00e8s de\n60.000 ensembles suppl\u00e9mentaires dans 19 pays au cours des prochaines semaines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au cours du\nmois dernier, environ 11.000 agents de sant\u00e9 africains ont \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide\ndes cours en ligne de l&rsquo;OMS sur le COVID-19, qui sont disponibles gratuitement\nen anglais, en fran\u00e7ais et dans d&rsquo;autres langues sur OpenWHO.org.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab Nous\nfournissons \u00e9galement des conseils aux pays sur la mani\u00e8re de proc\u00e9der au\nd\u00e9pistage, aux tests, \u00e0 la recherche des contacts et au traitement \u00bb, a\nexpliqu\u00e9 le chef de
