John Gladstone Sackey; le directeur de la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u00e9cole wesleyenne (Mfantsipim) de Cape Coast .<br>\nComme son p\u00e8re, Sekyi a \u00e9galement fait ses \u00e9tudes \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9cole Mfantsipim et a ensuite \u00e9tudi\u00e9 la philosophie \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Londres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apr\u00e8s avoir obtenu son dipl\u00f4me de philosophie, Kobina Sekyi est retourn\u00e9e \u00e0 Gold Coast pour enseigner pendant un certain temps et a particip\u00e9 aux affaires politiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sekyi est devenu avocat en pratique priv\u00e9e dans son pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lu pr\u00e9sident de la Aborigines\u2019s Rights Protection Society, succ\u00e9dant \u00e0 son oncle Henry van Hien<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kobina Sekyi a habilement dirig\u00e9 l&rsquo;ARPS en tant que porte-parole vocal du peuple de la Gold Coast contre l&rsquo;imp\u00e9rialisme britannique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sekyi est \u00e9galement devenu membre ex\u00e9cutif du Congr\u00e8s national de l&rsquo;Afrique occidentale britannique apr\u00e8s la disparition de l&rsquo;ARPS et a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;opposition radicale au r\u00e9gime colonial britannique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En sa qualit\u00e9 d&rsquo;homme politique intelligent et c\u00e9l\u00e8bre avocat de la Gold Coast, Kobina Sekyi a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9e membre du Comit\u00e9 Coussey pour le changement constitutionnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En sa qualit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;un des premiers \u00e9crivains de la Gold Coast, Kobina Sekyi est l&rsquo;auteur d&rsquo;une com\u00e9die percutante \u00ab\u00a0The Blinkards\u00a0\u00bb (1915) qui ridiculise l&rsquo;acceptation par une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 colonis\u00e9e des attitudes des colonisateurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Son roman, \u00abThe Anglo-Fante\u00bb est le premier roman de langue anglaise \u00e9crit sur Cape Coast.<br>\nLa pi\u00e8ce de Kobina Sekyi \u00abThe Blinkards\u00bb a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e \u00e0 Cape Coast en 1916 et a \u00e9t\u00e9 chaleureusement accueillie par la presse locale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il est devenu tr\u00e8s populaire car il a \u00e9t\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re \u00e9lite \u00e9duqu\u00e9e \u00e0 compara\u00eetre devant un tribunal colonial du \u00abntoma\u00bb ghan\u00e9en en tant qu&rsquo;avocat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il a jur\u00e9 de ne jamais porter de v\u00eatements europ\u00e9ens parce qu&rsquo;il croyait \u00eatre un Africain totalement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Malheureusement Kobina Sekyi n&rsquo;ait pas v\u00e9cu pour voir l&rsquo;ind\u00e9pendance du Ghana en 1957.
