Une r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 la r\u00e9siliation par le gouvernement ghan\u00e9en d\u2019un contrat avec un fournisseur priv\u00e9, a-t-on appris aupr\u00e8s d\u2019Africa News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le ministre ghan\u00e9en de l\u2019information&nbsp;Kojo Oppong\nNkrumah, a fait savoir le mercredi 23 octobre 2019, que la d\u00e9claration faite\npar les&nbsp;USA&nbsp;n\u2019avait pas d\u2019incidence sur la confiance entre les deux\npays. Il a ajout\u00e9 qu\u2019il est question&nbsp;\u00ab&nbsp;d\u2019une divergence\nd\u2019opinion&nbsp;\u00bb&nbsp;que ces derniers ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de respecter de fa\u00e7on\nr\u00e9ciproque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La structure am\u00e9ricaine d\u2019aide \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger, le Millenium\nChallenge Corporation (MCC) avait approuv\u00e9 le d\u00e9caissement d\u2019un montant de 498\nmillions de dollars en 2014. Ce programme qui entre dans le cadre du\nfinancement du secteur de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 ghan\u00e9en vise \u00e0 propulser\nl\u2019investissement dans le pays, \u00e0 travers le projet&nbsp;Power Africa. Celui-ci\niniti\u00e9 en 2013 par&nbsp;Barack Obama&nbsp;avait pour but de faire b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de\nl\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 des dizaines de millions de foyers africains. Ainsi, il \u00e9tait\npr\u00e9vu dans les r\u00e9formes de privatiser la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique au&nbsp;Ghana&nbsp;(ECG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elle devait se retrouver en mars dernier entre les mains\nde Ghana Power Distribution Services (PDS) qui est en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 dirig\u00e9e par la\ncompagnie philippine d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9&nbsp;Meralco. Cependant, le samedi dernier\nle ministre ghan\u00e9en des finances a fait savoir aux autorit\u00e9s am\u00e9ricaines que\nl\u2019Etat ghan\u00e9en r\u00e9siliait son contrat de 20 ans avec PDS, parce que cette\nderni\u00e8re n\u2019offrait pas des garanties de paiement que le&nbsp;Ghana&nbsp;ne\ntrouvait pas&nbsp;\u00ab&nbsp;satisfaisantes&nbsp;\u00bb. La compagnie&nbsp;Meralco&nbsp;n\u2019a\ncependant pas r\u00e9agi suite \u00e0 l\u2019annonce de l\u2019ambassade des&nbsp;Etats-Unis.
