Leur th\u00e9orie se diff\u00e9rencie de celle d\u2019autres scientifiques, qui supposaient qu\u2019ils n\u2019\u00e9taient arriv\u00e9s sur l\u2019\u00eele qu\u2019il y a 2.000 ans. L\u2019\u00e9tude, attestant ce fait, a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9e mardi 1er octobre sur le site ScienceDirect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon leurs recherches, le d\u00e9bat sur l\u2019apparition des\npremi\u00e8res colonies humaines \u00e0 Madagascar a longtemps \u00e9t\u00e9 controvers\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;\u00ab Le continent\nafricain poss\u00e8de les plus vieux restes humains jamais enregistr\u00e9s, dont\ncertains sont vieux de plusieurs millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Kristina\nDouglass, professeure assistante d&rsquo;anthropologie au Coll\u00e8ge des arts lib\u00e9raux\nqui a dirig\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9quipe de chercheurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abPourtant, des recherches ant\u00e9rieures ont constat\u00e9 que\ncette immense \u00eele qui n\u2019est pas tr\u00e8s \u00e9loign\u00e9e des c\u00f4tes de l\u2019Afrique, n\u2019\u00e9tait\npas peupl\u00e9e jusqu\u2019\u00e0 il y a environ 2.000 ans\u00bb, a-t-elle ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les scientifiques ont utilis\u00e9 des m\u00e9thodes statistiques\npour classer les donn\u00e9es par niveau de fiabilit\u00e9 et de lien avec l&rsquo;activit\u00e9\nhumaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">D\u2019apr\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e9tude, il y a environ mille ans, un grand\nnombre d\u2019esp\u00e8ces animales sont mortes \u00e0 Madagascar. \u00abSi les humains ont\ncommenc\u00e9 \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des colonies permanentes il y a 1.500 ans, les animaux\nauraient pu dispara\u00eetre assez rapidement\u00bb, explique Mme Douglass. \u00abSi les\nhommes sont arriv\u00e9s sur l&rsquo;\u00eele il y a 11.000 ans, ils auraient coexist\u00e9 avec les\nesp\u00e8ces beaucoup plus longtemps et les changements dans la biodiversit\u00e9\nauraient pu \u00eatre moins brusques et se seraient produits par un changement\nprogressif de l&rsquo;environnement\u00bb, pr\u00e9cise-t-elle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les chercheurs ont conclu que les r\u00e9sultats de la datation, qui t\u00e9moignent d&rsquo;une arriv\u00e9e de l&rsquo;homme \u00e0 Madagascar il y a 11.000ans , \u00e9taient fiables.
