Il a obtenu son dipl\u00f4me d\u2019histoire et de philosophie \u00e0 14ans. Originaire de Tottenham (Londres), Joshua Beckford est devenu l\u2019un des plus jeunes \u00e9tudiants qu\u2019a connu l\u2019universit\u00e9 d\u2019Oxford depuis sa cr\u00e9ation. Quand il \u00e9tait \u00e2g\u00e9 de dix mois, le petit gar\u00e7on avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 m\u00e9moris\u00e9 l\u2019alphabet et distinguait les couleurs. En outre, \u00e0 deux ans et demi, il savait d\u00e9j\u00e0 lire sans difficult\u00e9 et saisir sur un ordinateur sans regarder le clavier. Beckford parle japonais, simule des interventions chirurgicales sur un ordinateur et a r\u00e9solu plus de 1 000 probl\u00e8mes math\u00e9matiques complexes.
