{"id":166110,"date":"2019-08-13T17:23:29","date_gmt":"2019-08-13T17:23:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/afrikmag.com\/var\/www\/vhosts\/afrikmag.compublic_html\/?p=166110"},"modified":"2019-08-13T17:23:29","modified_gmt":"2019-08-13T17:23:29","slug":"economie-action-judiciaire-a-lencontre-decobank-de-la-societe-generale-et-dafriland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afrikmag.com\/var\/www\/vhosts\/afrikmag.compublic_html\/economie-action-judiciaire-a-lencontre-decobank-de-la-societe-generale-et-dafriland\/","title":{"rendered":"Economie : Action judiciaire \u00e0 l\u2019encontre d\u2019Ecobank, de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale et d\u2019Afriland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Candara',sans-serif; color: #383f4e;\">Salim Group, Inc (SGI) une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 priv\u00e9e d\u2019investissements a intent\u00e9 une action en justice la semaine derni\u00e8re \u00e0 l\u2019encontre de 3 banques, a-t-on appris mardi, 13 ao\u00fbt 2019, d&rsquo;African Media Agency (AMA).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Candara',sans-serif; color: #383f4e;\">Il est \u00ab\u00a0reproch\u00e9 aux trois banques (Ecobank, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rale et Afriland First Bank), prises collectivement, des faits de rupture de contrat, de fraude, d\u2019enrichissement et de conversion ill\u00e9gitimes\u00a0\u00bb, a \u00e9crit l\u2019agence d\u2019information, mentionnant \u00ab\u00a0des dommages et int\u00e9r\u00eats de 100 millions de dollars demand\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Candara',sans-serif; color: #383f4e;\">Selon la note, SGI et les banques ont sign\u00e9 plusieurs accords de pr\u00eats \u00e0 partir de 2011, pour la construction d\u2019un luxueux h\u00f4tel Hilton en R\u00e9publique du Tchad, avec l\u2019objectif d\u2019en faire une destination pour les voyages d\u2019affaires et les conf\u00e9rences. Salim Group s\u2019est alors lanc\u00e9 dans le d\u00e9veloppement foncier et la r\u00e9habilitation d\u2019envergure d\u2019une propri\u00e9t\u00e9 en bordure de rivi\u00e8re et a emprunt\u00e9 environ 38 millions de dollars, en plus de son investissement direct de plus de 80 millions de dollars, afin d\u2019apporter une valeur ajout\u00e9e \u00e0 une parcelle de terrain de plus de 23 hectares et rendre l\u2019h\u00f4tel exploitable en janvier 2016. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son investissement, SGI est devenue l\u2019investisseur priv\u00e9 am\u00e9ricain le plus important au Tchad, hors secteur p\u00e9trolier. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Candara',sans-serif; color: #383f4e;\">En raison d\u2019un certain nombre de conditions d\u00e9favorables au sein du pays, ind\u00e9pendantes de sa volont\u00e9 et bien connues des banques, SGI n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure d\u2019honorer les pr\u00eats. Selon les termes de l\u2019accord, d\u00e8s lors que les banques voulaient faire jouer l\u2019hypoth\u00e8que, la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 hypoth\u00e9qu\u00e9e devait alors \u00eatre estim\u00e9e par un expert, puis l\u2019emprunteur devait \u00eatre rembours\u00e9 par les banques de la valeur estim\u00e9e en exc\u00e9dent par rapport au montant du pr\u00eat. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Candara',sans-serif; color: #383f4e;\">\u00ab\u00a0Nous avons investi au Tchad en nous fiant aux termes de nos accords de pr\u00eats avec le consortium bancaire et aux promesses du gouvernement de prot\u00e9ger les int\u00e9r\u00eats des investisseurs \u00e9trangers. Les agissements frauduleux de ces banques sont d\u00e9plorables et ne nous laissent pas d\u2019autre choix que celui de r\u00e9clamer des dommages et int\u00e9r\u00eats\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Mohamed Naeem, directeur de SGI Holgind, poursuivant que l\u2019h\u00f4tel \u00ab\u00a0a re\u00e7u de nombreuses r\u00e9compenses internationales en d\u00e9pit de nos demandes de dommages et int\u00e9r\u00eats.\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Candara',sans-serif; color: #383f4e;\">Salim Group, Inc est une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 priv\u00e9e bas\u00e9e en Californie.
