Les Bukusu, Idakho, Tachoni et Kabras enterrent \u00e9galement leurs a\u00een\u00e9s en position assise.<\/p>\n<p>Selon leur croyance, enterrer les morts en position assise \u00ab \u00e9loigne les mauvais esprits \u00bb. C\u2019est \u00e9galement un signe de respect envers les anciens alors qu\u2019ils commencent leur voyage vers l\u2019autre monde. C&rsquo;est aussi un moyen de relier la communaut\u00e9 avec le roi, qui, selon eux, veille sur sa famille m\u00eame apr\u00e8s la mort.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00eame de nos jours, cette tradition est toujours respect\u00e9e, mais avec diverses modifications. Lorsque le roi Nabongo Japheth Wambani Rapando est mort en 2012, son cercueil a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit pour ressembler \u00e0 une longue chaise.
