Dimanche dernier, un voleur a p\u00e9n\u00e9tr\u00e9 par effraction dans une \u00e9glise du comt\u00e9 de Nyandarua, en Ouganda, puis a \u00e9crit une lettre pour s’excuser de ses actes. Ceci apr\u00e8s n’avoir pas trouv\u00e9 de l\u2019argent dans l’\u00e9glise.<\/p>\n

L’incident survient quelques mois apr\u00e8s que des membres de l’\u00e9glise ont lynch\u00e9 trois criminels pr\u00e9sum\u00e9s sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s dans le vol des \u00e9glises.<\/p>\n

Au cours de l’incident du dimanche \u00e0 l’\u00e9glise PEFA (Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa), le criminel a adress\u00e9 une lettre \u00e0 l’\u00e9glise regrettant de ne pas avoir trouv\u00e9 d’argent, alors qu’il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 inform\u00e9 par un fid\u00e8le qu’une bonne somme d’argent avait \u00e9t\u00e9 vers\u00e9e et laiss\u00e9e l\u00e0.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0J’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 envoy\u00e9 ici par l’un de vos camarades chr\u00e9tiens qui m’a dit que la somme d’argent avait \u00e9t\u00e9 conserv\u00e9e \u00e0 l’int\u00e9rieur de l’\u00e9glise. Mais je n’ai rien trouv\u00e9 . Que Dieu vous b\u00e9nisse tous et priez pour moi. Merci \u00bb,<\/p>\n

Il a ensuite sign\u00e9 en tant que \u00ab\u00a0la personne qui s\u2019est infiltr\u00e9e dans l’\u00e9glise\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Le r\u00e9v\u00e9rend Peter Wanyoike a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le voleur avait d\u00e9truit une partie des murs en t\u00f4le de l’\u00e9glise pour pouvoir y acc\u00e9der.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Nous avons trouv\u00e9 la lettre dans l’\u00e9glise lorsque la police est arriv\u00e9e pour commencer ses enqu\u00eates. Il croyait qu’il y avait de l’argent \u00e0 l’\u00e9glise; nous lui avons pardonn\u00e9. Nous prions pour qu’il soit sauv\u00e9. Il est invit\u00e9 \u00e0 se confesser et \u00e0 adorer avec nous \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le r\u00e9v\u00e9rend Wanyoike.<\/p>\n

Les fid\u00e8les ont \u00e9galement affirm\u00e9 avoir pardonn\u00e9 le voleur, mais ont exprim\u00e9 leur inqui\u00e9tude face \u00e0 la recrudescence des affaires de crimes visant les \u00e9glises.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Ce qui nous choque le plus, c’est la lettre d’aveux. Il avait tout le temps de fouiller dans l’\u00e9glise \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019argent, puis d’\u00e9crire la lettre de confession de sa propre \u00e9criture. Il doit avoir fr\u00e9quent\u00e9 l’\u00e9glise ou avoir un informateur. Peut-\u00eatre que c’est seulement le moment qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 mal choisi. Il a besoin de pri\u00e8res \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Faith Wairimu, une membre de l\u2019\u00e9glise.<\/p>\n
