Christine Lagarde a annonc\u00e9 qu’elle quitterait ses fonctions de directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale du Fonds mon\u00e9taire international (FMI). Cela pr\u00e9c\u00e8de la d\u00e9cision de sa nomination \u00e0 la t\u00eate de la Banque centrale europ\u00e9enne (BCE).<\/p>\n

Lagarde a annonc\u00e9 qu’elle quitterait le FMI le 12 septembre.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Avec plus de clart\u00e9 sur le processus de ma nomination \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sidence de la BCE et le temps que cela prendra, j’ai pris cette d\u00e9cision dans le meilleur int\u00e9r\u00eat du fonds. Le conseil d’administration va maintenant prendre les mesures n\u00e9cessaires pour faire avancer le processus pour choisir un nouveau directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral \u00ab\u00a0, a t-elle d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Lagarde, une ancienne ministre fran\u00e7aise, dirige le FMI depuis 2011. Si le Conseil europ\u00e9en approuve sa nomination \u00e0 la BCE, elle deviendra la toute premi\u00e8re femme dirigeante de la banque centrale, responsable de l’euro et de la politique mon\u00e9taire de la zone euro.<\/p>\n

Connue comme la \u00ab\u00a0rock star\u00a0\u00bb de la finance internationale, Mme Lagarde, 63 ans, a d\u00e9but\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re en tant qu’avocate avant de se lancer en politique. Elle a occup\u00e9 divers postes minist\u00e9riels sous Nicolas Sark\u00f6zy avant d’\u00eatre \u00e9lue premi\u00e8re femme pr\u00e9sidente du FMI – en remplacement de Dominique Strauss Khan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
