Le Premier ministre \u00e9thiopien Abiy Ahmed pr\u00e9voit de doubler le nombre d’emplois cr\u00e9\u00e9s en mettant en \u0153uvre un programme de r\u00e9formes qui ouvre l’\u00e9conomie \u00e0 davantage d’investissements \u00e9trangers.<\/p>\n

Le deuxi\u00e8me pays le plus peupl\u00e9 d’Afrique veut cr\u00e9er 3 millions d’emplois \u00e0 compter de ce mois contre 1,4 million au cours des 12 mois pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. Abiy aux l\u00e9gislateurs de la capitale, Addis-Abeba. La plupart des emplois proviendront de petites entreprises.<\/p>\n

Alors que l’\u00e9conomie \u00e9thiopienne fait partie des plus croissantes au monde et que le gouvernement estime qu’elle a connu une croissance de 9,2% au cours de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2018-19, au moins 11 millions de personnes, soit environ un dixi\u00e8me de la population, sont au ch\u00f4mage. Quelque 2 millions d’entre eux rejoignent le march\u00e9 du travail chaque ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Depuis son arriv\u00e9e au pouvoir l’an dernier, M. Abiy s’est lanc\u00e9 dans un programme politique et de r\u00e9formes qui permettra au gouvernement d’ouvrir davantage les secteurs de la finance, des t\u00e9l\u00e9communications et de l’\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 l’investissement \u00e9tranger. Des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s comme Orange SA et MTN Group Ltd. ont exprim\u00e9 leur int\u00e9r\u00eat pour le march\u00e9, tandis que Coca-Cola a annonc\u00e9 un plan d’expansion de 300 millions de dollars dans le pays.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Notre d\u00e9veloppement et notre croissance seront mesur\u00e9s par le nombre d’emplois cr\u00e9\u00e9s.
