Pour plusieurs observateurs, c\u2019est une bonne nouvelle pour les femmes guin\u00e9ennes. En effet, le pays a r\u00e9vis\u00e9 sa loi sur le mariage qui accorde un droit \u00e0 la femme.<\/p>\n

L’Assembl\u00e9e nationale guin\u00e9enne a adopt\u00e9 jeudi un nouveau code civil, qui modifie les dispositions l\u00e9gales sur la monogamie.<\/p>\n

Et donc pour tout homme d\u00e9sireux de s\u2019unir \u00e0 plusieurs \u00e9pouses doit n\u00e9cessairement avoir l’accord de sa premi\u00e8re \u00e9pouse.<\/p>\n

Selon la nouvelle loi, le mariage est soumis au r\u00e9gime de la monogamie pour tous les citoyens guin\u00e9ens. Cependant, le futur mari peut, au moment de la c\u00e9l\u00e9bration du mariage, avec l’accord explicite de sa future \u00e9pouse, d\u00e9clarer qu’il opte pour la polygamie limit\u00e9e \u00e0 deux, trois ou quatre femmes au maximum.<\/p>\n

Des 114 d\u00e9put\u00e9s du pays, quatre ont contest\u00e9 la nouvelle loi \u00e0 l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e nationale.<\/p>\n

Le nouveau code civil doit \u00eatre promulgu\u00e9 par le pr\u00e9sident de la Guin\u00e9e pour entrer en vigueur. Mais la nouvelle loi ne s’applique toutefois pas aux couples constitu\u00e9s avant son adoption.<\/p>\n

En d\u00e9cembre dernier, le pr\u00e9sident guin\u00e9en s’\u00e9tait oppos\u00e9 \u00e0 l’id\u00e9e d’une modification du code civil en faveur de la polygamie.<\/p>\n
