En effet, tr\u00e8s tard dans la nuit du mercredi 8 mai 2019, le parlement a fait adoption d\u2019une loi concernant les pr\u00e9sidentielles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> La nouvelle loi fondamentale introduit la limitation du mandat du  pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique \u00e0 cinq ans renouvelable une fois et le  scrutin uninominal majoritaire \u00e0 deux (2) tours pour l\u2019\u00e9lection  pr\u00e9sidentielle. Vu sous cet angle la population togolaise devrait s\u2019en r\u00e9jouir mais le hic, cette loi n\u2019est pas amputable aux mandats d\u00e9j\u00e0 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s et ceux en cours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les mandats\ndes d\u00e9put\u00e9s et des membres de la Cour constitutionnelle sont \u00e9galement limit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette loi consacre un mode de scrutin \u00e0 deux tours pour l\u2019\u00e9lection pr\u00e9sidentielle. Toutefois, les mandats d\u00e9j\u00e0 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s et ceux en cours ne seront pas pris en compte dans l\u2019application des nouvelles modifications constitutionnelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Par\nailleurs l\u2019actuel pr\u00e9sident Faure Gnassingb\u00e9 peut valablement se repr\u00e9senter s\u2019il\nle veut et briguer deux \u00e0 trois mandats jusqu\u2019en 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour rappel, Faure est \u00e0 la t\u00eate de la r\u00e9publique togolaise depuis 2005 et malgr\u00e9 les manifestations de l\u2019opposition \u00e0 vouloir l\u2019\u00e9vincer du pouvoir, il y est attach\u00e9. Son mandat pr\u00e9sidentiel s\u2019ach\u00e8vera en 2020.
