En Afrique, la garde d’enfants est encore consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme un travail pour les femmes, mais les choses changent lentement.<\/span><\/p>\n

Au fil des ans, certains pays africains ont adopt\u00e9 des mesures pour offrir des jours de cong\u00e9 aux p\u00e8res.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9bat sur le cong\u00e9 de paternit\u00e9 est en cours dans de nombreux pays, dont le Nigeria. La Chambre basse du Nigeria a r\u00e9cemment rejet\u00e9 un projet de loi sur le cong\u00e9 de paternit\u00e9, au motif que l’\u00e9conomie et la culture ne sont toujours pas pr\u00eates pour cela.<\/span><\/p>\n

Certains pays comme l’Alg\u00e9rie, le Mali, le Rwanda, l’Ouganda et la Tanzanie n’ont pas de cong\u00e9 de paternit\u00e9 en soi, ils n\u2019accordent que quelques jours d’absence au p\u00e8re apr\u00e8s l’accouchement de son enfant.<\/span><\/p>\n

Toutefois, certains pays offrent des cong\u00e9s de paternit\u00e9 pay\u00e9s de cinq jours ou plus.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Kenya<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Au Kenya, les hommes ont droit \u00e0 deux semaines de cong\u00e9 de paternit\u00e9 r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9s. Le p\u00e8re n’a pas besoin de faire une demande pour un cong\u00e9 de paternit\u00e9, mais son employeur peut en demander un.\u00a0 Toutefois, la r\u00e8gle ne s’applique qu’aux \u00ab\u00a0\u00e9pouses reconnues\u00a0\u00bb.\u00a0\u00a0 Cela signifie que si l\u2019\u00e9pouse n’est pas reconnue par les employeurs, les chances d’obtenir un cong\u00e9 de paternit\u00e9 s\u2019amenuisent<\/span><\/p>\n

L\u2019\u00cele Maurice<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

Les p\u00e8res b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient de cinq jours de cong\u00e9 continu dans ce pays.\u00a0 Ils doivent fournir un certificat m\u00e9dical indiquant que leur conjoint a donn\u00e9 naissance ainsi qu’une d\u00e9claration sign\u00e9e pour montrer qu’il vit avec son \u00e9pouse dans la m\u00eame pi\u00e8ce pour que le cong\u00e9 lui soit accord\u00e9. <\/span><\/p>\n

Le cong\u00e9 de paternit\u00e9 peut commencer une semaine apr\u00e8s la naissance de l’enfant et le p\u00e8re est pleinement r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00e0 condition qu\u2019il ait \u00e9t\u00e9 dans l’entreprise pendant au moins 12 mois avant la naissance de son enfant.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Gabon, le Cameroun, la C\u00f4te d’Ivoire, l\u2019\u00cele de Madagascar, le Tchad et le Togo<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

Dans ces pays, le cong\u00e9 de paternit\u00e9 est couvert par le cong\u00e9 d’allocations familiales. Les p\u00e8res peuvent prendre jusqu’\u00e0 10 jours de cong\u00e9 pay\u00e9s \u00e0 la naissance de leurs enfants.<\/span><\/p>\n

L\u2019\u00c9thiopie<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

En \u00c9thiopie, les hommes peuvent obtenir cinq jours de cong\u00e9 de paternit\u00e9 en cas d’\u00e9v\u00e9nement exceptionnel ou grave. Cependant, le cong\u00e9 n’est pas pay\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n
