L\u2019audience pr\u00e9vue ce jour a \u00e9t\u00e9 report\u00e9e \u00e0 la suite d\u2019une requ\u00eate de leurs avocats sur la comp\u00e9tence d\u2019un Tribunal militaire \u00e0 juger des civils.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">\u00ab\u00a0Le juge n\u2019a pas entendu Maurice Kamto parce qu\u2019il a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019attendre que le Tribunal statue sur la contestation de sa comp\u00e9tence que nous avons formul\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, a confi\u00e9 l\u2019un des avocats de l\u2019opposant, Christopher Ndong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">\u00ab\u00a0Nous attendons la d\u00e9cision sur la comp\u00e9tence et notre client est \u00e0 nouveau attendu mardi au parquet militaire\u00a0\u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Maurice Kamto, principal opposant du pr\u00e9sident Paul Biya, a \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9 le 28 janvier dernier \u00e0 la suite d\u2019une marche organis\u00e9e par le MRC pour d\u00e9noncer un hold-up \u00e9lectoral. Il fait face \u00e0 huit chefs d\u2019accusation, y compris incitation \u00e0 la violence et insurrection<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Amnesty International a qualifi\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0d\u2019horrible\u00a0\u00bb l&rsquo;accusation d&rsquo;insurrection retenue contre le pr\u00e9sident du MRC, accusant Yaound\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00eatre s\u00e9v\u00e8re envers la critique.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Dans une d\u00e9claration publi\u00e9e jeudi, Amnesty International a soulign\u00e9 qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une violation flagrante des droits fondamentaux de l&rsquo;homme que de continuer \u00e0 traduire des civils devant les tribunaux militaires.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;\"><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">\u00ab C&rsquo;est horrifiant que les autorit\u00e9s camerounaises envisagent de condamner Maurice Kamto \u00e0 mort simplement pour avoir os\u00e9 participer \u00e0 une manifestation pacifique.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;\"><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Il fait partie des nombreuses personnes qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 prises dans une vague d&rsquo;arrestations massives alors que les autorit\u00e9s tentent de faire taire leurs d\u00e9tracteurs, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Marie-Evelyne Petrus Barry, \u00e0 la t\u00eate du bureau r\u00e9gional pour l\u2019Afrique de l\u2019Ouest et du centre.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;\"><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">En plus de voir leurs droits \u00e0 la libert\u00e9 d&rsquo;expression et de r\u00e9union pacifique bafou\u00e9s, de nombreux membres de l&rsquo;opposition camerounaise sont d\u00e9sormais jug\u00e9s injustement par des tribunaux militaires.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">Nous appelons les autorit\u00e9s \u00e0 mettre fin \u00e0 cette attaque impitoyable contre les voix dissidentes. Les civils ne devraient pas \u00eatre jug\u00e9s par des tribunaux militaires et ne devraient pas \u00eatre condamn\u00e9s \u00e0 la peine de mort pour avoir exerc\u00e9 leurs droits fondamentaux\u00a0\u00bb,<\/i> a-t-elle soulign\u00e9.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10.66px;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Les organes internationaux et r\u00e9gionaux des droits de l&rsquo;homme, y compris la Commission africaine des droits de l&rsquo;homme et des peuples, consid\u00e8rent que les tribunaux militaires ne devraient, en aucune circonstance, avoir comp\u00e9tence sur les civils.
