Ce projet fera du Rwanda le premier pays en Afrique \u00e0 fabriquer localement des t\u00e9l\u00e9phones qui r\u00e9pondront \u00e0 la demande du march\u00e9 africain. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">L&rsquo;annonce a \u00e9t\u00e9 faite par Paula Ingabire, ministre rwandaise des Technologies de l&rsquo;information et de la communication (TIC) et de l&rsquo;innovation au Comit\u00e9 permanent de l&rsquo;\u00e9ducation, de la technologie, de la culture et de la jeunesse du Parlement d&rsquo;Afrique de l&rsquo;Est le 7 f\u00e9vrier 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">La ministre Paula Ingabire a expliqu\u00e9 que le projet sera r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en partenariat avec l&rsquo;investisseur rwandais Ashish Thakkkar qui est d\u00e9j\u00e0 en pourparlers avec les autorit\u00e9s pour mettre en place sa soci\u00e9t\u00e9 technologique panafricaine, MaraPhones sous Mara Company et d\u00e9marrer la production ce mois-ci. Le projet fournira pr\u00e8s de 20\u00a0000 emplois.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">\u00ab\u00a0Une fois que l&rsquo;usine commencera \u00e0 produire des smartphones, les utilisateurs paieront par tranches sur une p\u00e9riode de 24 mois. Nous devons \u00e9galement travailler avec les entreprises de t\u00e9l\u00e9communications pour trouver des moyens de r\u00e9duire les prix d&rsquo;utilisation d&rsquo;Internet\u00a0\u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 la ministre Paula cit\u00e9 par The Rwandan. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Les t\u00e9l\u00e9phones seront parmi les premiers appareils \u00e0 utiliser Android Oreo, un syst\u00e8me d&rsquo;exploitation optimis\u00e9 pour des applications comme YouTube Go, Facebook Lite et Twitter Lite, cr\u00e9\u00e9es pour le march\u00e9 africain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">En 2018, Ashish Thakkar avait annonc\u00e9 que sa soci\u00e9t\u00e9 allait fabriquer les premiers t\u00e9l\u00e9phones \u00e0 vendre cette ann\u00e9e.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">En novembre 2018, apr\u00e8s 22 ans de commerce de divers produits technologiques par l&rsquo;interm\u00e9diaire de Mara Group, Ashish Thakkar a d\u00e9voil\u00e9 Maraphones et un prototype lors d&rsquo;un \u00e9v\u00e9nement en Afrique du Sud.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">Selon African Review, Maraphone-Mara X sera le premier smartphone \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle, fabriqu\u00e9 en Afrique. Thakkkar a expliqu\u00e9 que Maraphones fabriquera des smartphones de haute qualit\u00e9 et abordables pour servir principalement la population africaine.
