Certaines parties de la capitale ghan\u00e9enne, Accra ont \u00e9t\u00e9 frapp\u00e9es par un nouveau tremblement de terre apr\u00e8s celui du 9 d\u00e9cembre 2018 qui a beaucoup fait r\u00e9agir les populations.<\/p>\n

Le dimanche 13 janvier 2019, aux environs de 17h01, l’Autorit\u00e9 g\u00e9ologique du Ghana (GGSA) a enregistr\u00e9 un tremblement de terre d’une magnitude de 2,6 sur l’\u00e9chelle de Richter, un appareil utilis\u00e9 pour mesurer la gravit\u00e9 des tremblements de terre.<\/p>\n

La secousse, qui a dur\u00e9 environ six secondes, est survenue \u00e0 environ 18 km de la station Achimota de la GGSA, selon la lecture sur le sismom\u00e8tre, qui a \u00e9galement montr\u00e9 que l’\u00e9picentre de la secousse se situait autour de Weija.<\/p>\n

S’exprimant lors d’une interview avec le Daily Graphic, M. Nicholas Opoku, un sismologue de la GGSA, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que l’ampleur du tremblement de terre avait \u00e9t\u00e9 fix\u00e9e \u00e0 2,6 car \u00ab\u00a0\u00e0 l’heure actuelle, une seule de nos stations fonctionne\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Selon le sismologue principal, avoir plus de tremblements, comme ce fut le cas au cours des derniers mois, ne donne aucune indication quant \u00e0 la date \u00e0 laquelle un s\u00e9isme pourrait se reproduire et son ampleur.<\/p>\n

Il a de nouveau conseill\u00e9 aux personnes vivant dans des zones sujettes aux tremblements de terre de prendre des mesures de pr\u00e9caution en r\u00e9duisant les activit\u00e9s humaines dans les zones pr\u00e9sentant des lignes de faille actives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
