Un fonctionnaire \u00e0 la retraite de 55 ans, M. Emmanuel Osuya, a demand\u00e9 \u00e0 un tribunal coutumier de Igando, Lagos au Nigeria, de dissoudre son mariage de 32 ans pr\u00e9sumant que son \u00e9pouse le bat.<\/p>\n

Osuya a dit \u00e0 la cour, mercredi, que son \u00e9pouse, Abigeal Osuya, \u00e2g\u00e9e de 50 ans, a fait de lui un sac \u00e0 coups de poing. Il dit qu’elle le bat \u00e0 tout moment.
\nOsuya a dit \u00e0 la cour que sa femme menace toujours sa vie et qu’il a peur qu’elle puisse le tuer un jour.<\/p>\n

Ma femme veut me tuer; elle me battait presque tous les jours avec des armes dangereuses. \u00c0 trois reprises, elle a cass\u00e9 ma jambe, m’emp\u00eachant de sortir pendant des jours, Abigeal a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 cr\u00e9er l’inimiti\u00e9 entre moi et mes enfants, elle leur dit des histoires fausses et pr\u00e9judiciables sur moi afin qu’ils me ha\u00efssent. Alors mes enfants rennent soin d’elle seule en lui envoyant de l’argent et d’autres articles tous les mois, sans \u00e9tendre leur amour pour moi, ils m’ignorent toujours comme si je n’existais pas.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Je ne peux pas garder l’argent \u00e0 la maison \u00e0 nouveau parce que ma femme va le voler. Elle agit comme si elle n’est pas toujours satisfaite de l’argent que je lui donne, en d\u00e9pit du fait que mes enfants lui envoit toujours de l’argent tous les mois.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Abigeal a ni\u00e9 toute les all\u00e9gations.La m\u00e8re de cinq enfants a dit qu’elle n’a jamais battu son mari depuis le jour o\u00f9 elle l’a \u00e9pous\u00e9. Elle dit que c’est son mari qui la battait toujours.<\/p>\n

C’est mon mari qui m’a toujours battu sur toute l\u00e9g\u00e8re provocation, je ne l’ai jamais battu.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Abigeal a dit qu’elle avait l’habitude de cuisiner pour son mari a chaque fois \u00a0lui donnait de l’argent pour la cuisine. Elle a demand\u00e9 au tribunal de ne pas accorder la pri\u00e8re de son mari.<\/p>\n
