Theodosia Okoh c\u2019est le nom de la dame qui avait eu l\u2019ing\u00e9nieuse id\u00e9e de concevoir le drapeau Ghan\u00e9en. A travers cette brillante imagination, elle avait d\u00e9montr\u00e9 combien elle \u00e9tait d\u00e9vou\u00e9e \u00e0 sa patrie. Ce drapeau qu\u2019elle a invent\u00e9 d\u00e9montre aussi combien elle a aim\u00e9 son pays le Ghana.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est en hommage \u00e0 la regrett\u00e9e dame que le ministre ghan\u00e9en de la Communication l\u2019a qualifi\u00e9 de citoyenne extraordinaire. Le gouvernement a ordonn\u00e9 que les drapeaux soient mis en berne pour trois jours dans le pays.<\/p>\n

Rappelons que l\u2019actuel drapeau ghan\u00e9en qui a remplac\u00e9 celui de la m\u00e9tropole britannique est compos\u00e9 de trois bandes horizontales de m\u00eame largeur et de couleurs rouge (en haut), jaune et verte, avec une grande \u00e9toile noire \u00e0 cinq branches au centre de la bande jaune.<\/p>\n

Le rouge symbolise le sang vers\u00e9 pour l’ind\u00e9pendance; le jaune repr\u00e9sente la richesse min\u00e9rale du pays, tandis que le vert symbolise les for\u00eats et les richesses naturelles.
