Le bureau ex\u00e9cutif de la CAF a retir\u00e9 l’organisation de la CAN 2019 au Cameroun. Cependant, une source digne de foi et proche de la CAF explique que la v\u00e9ritable raison de ce retrait serait le manque d’infrastructures op\u00e9rationnelles susceptibles de permettre au Cameroun d\u2019accueillir cette comp\u00e9tition.<\/p>\n

Si l’on s’en tient \u00e0 une publication du journaliste camerounais Jean Bruna Tagne dans le quotidien actu Cameroun<\/em>, c’est le pr\u00e9sident Paul Biya qui serait le principal responsable de cet \u00e9chec du Cameroun dans l’organisation et la pr\u00e9paration de la CAN 2019.<\/p>\n

C’est depuis 2014 que le Cameroun a \u00e9t\u00e9 inform\u00e9 qu’il accueillira la CAN 2019. Malheureusement c’est \u00e0 la derni\u00e8re minute que les chantiers de construction ont d\u00e9marr\u00e9.<\/p>\n

C’est \u00e0 tort de s’en prendre\u00a0\u00e0 bras raccourcis aux ministres et autres collaborateurs du pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique comme \u00e9tant responsables de cet \u00e9chec. Le pr\u00e9sident Paul Biya avait rassur\u00e9 les Camerounais \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque: \u201cLe Cameroun sera pr\u00eat le jour dit. J\u2019en prends l\u2019engagement<\/em>\u201d, avait d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Paul Biya devant ses h\u00f4tes en extase au palais de l\u2019Unit\u00e9 \u00e0 Yaound\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Ce qui est le plus surprenant, c’est que le chef de l’\u00e9tat a pris un engagement urbi et orbi et jamais il ne s’est donn\u00e9 la peine une seule fois de visiter les chantiers pour s\u2019assurer que les travaux avancent comme il le souhaite.<\/p>\n

Pour Jean Bruno Tagne, Paul Biya est coupable de ce retrait de la CAN 2019 pour n\u2019avoir pas du haut de sa fonction donn\u00e9 un coup pied \u00e0 la bureaucratie qui a frein\u00e9 consid\u00e9rablement les travaux et surtout d\u2019avoir ferm\u00e9 les yeux devant des gens qui avaient d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de faire de cette CAN la plus grosse vache \u00e0 lait de leur vie.<\/p>\n

Il est clair que le Cameroun est humili\u00e9, et ce ne sont pas les collaborateurs du chef de l’Etat qui en sont responsables, dit le journaliste. C’est le pr\u00e9sident lui-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n

Communiqu\u00e9 de la CAF : <\/strong><\/p>\n

La Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration africaine de football a privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 le choix d\u2019\u00e9noncer par communiqu\u00e9. Les mesures importantes prises par son comit\u00e9 ex\u00e9cutif lors de la r\u00e9union extraordinaire \u00e0 Accra, Ghana, le 30 Novembre 2018.<\/p>\n

L\u2019une de ces mesures concerne l\u2019organisation de la prochaine Coupe d\u2019Afrique des Nations 2019.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Apr\u00e8s en avoir longuement d\u00e9battu,<\/strong>
\n\u2013 pass\u00e9 en revue les synth\u00e8ses des rapports de mission effectu\u00e9es depuis pr\u00e8s de 18 mois au Cameroun,
\n\u2013 constat\u00e9 que toutes les conditions de conformit\u00e9 n\u2019ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 respect\u00e9es,
\n\u2013 entendu les repr\u00e9sentants des autorit\u00e9s gouvernementales et sportives du Cameroun,
\n\u2013 visionn\u00e9 les derni\u00e8res images de l\u2019avanc\u00e9e des travaux et pr\u00e9paratifs,
\n\u2013 analys\u00e9 et \u00e9valu\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9cart existant entre les exigences et obligations du cahier des charges de la CAN et la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 du terrain,
\n\u2013 constat\u00e9 de visu l\u2019\u00e9tat des diff\u00e9rents chantiers ouverts,
\n\u2013 entendu les conclusions des membres de la mission s\u00e9curit\u00e9 lors de sa toute derni\u00e8re visite
\n\u2013 estim\u00e9 qu\u2019un \u00e9v\u00e9nement de la dimension d\u2019une Coupe d\u2019Afrique des Nations exige une organisation irr\u00e9prochable,
\n\u2013 apr\u00e8s avoir enfin consid\u00e9r\u00e9 qu\u2019un simple report n\u2019est pas envisageable en raison des imp\u00e9ratifs de contrats engageant la CAF dans le maintien de ses dates
\n\u2013 Pour toutes ces raisons, la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration Africaine de Football a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 que la prochaine \u00e9dition de la Coupe d\u2019Afrique des nations 2019 ne peut se tenir au Cameroun<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Cette d\u00e9cision sans appel<\/strong>, conduit donc la CAF \u00e0 engager et ouvrir un appel urgent \u00e0 de nouvelles candidatures<\/strong> de pays afin d\u2019assurer le d\u00e9roulement normal de la CAN aux lieux et places calendaires pr\u00e9vus en \u00e9t\u00e9 2019.<\/p>\n

Les modalit\u00e9s de cet appel seront mises en place avant le 31 d\u00e9cembre 2018, et feront l\u2019objet d\u2019une communication ult\u00e9rieure.<\/p>\n

Dans une telle situation, d\u00e9j\u00e0 v\u00e9cue par le pass\u00e9 sur le continent africain, la CAF entend pr\u00e9ciser que le Cameroun reste un candidat s\u00e9rieux \u00e0 l\u2019organisation d\u2019une CAN.<\/p>\n

La CAF salue les efforts du Cameroun pour la conduite des projets infrastructurels en cours. Elle l\u2019encourage \u00e0 poursuivre dans cette voie pour une reconqu\u00eate de son statut d\u2019organisateur.<\/p>\n
