C\u2019est le ministre de l\u2019Hydraulique et de l\u2019Assainissement, Mansour Faye qui en a fait l\u2019annonce, dimanche au cours d\u2019une \u00e9mission radio.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abL\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 Touba (pour la distribution de l\u2019eau) co\u00fbte plus d\u2019un milliard 200 millions \u00e0 l\u2019Etat.<\/p>\n<p>Chaque ann\u00e9e, l\u2019Etat investit entre 500 et 800 millions de francs Cfa, pour un r\u00e9seau que personne ne contr\u00f4le. 40% de la production d\u2019eau \u00e0 Touba disparaissent dans les tuyaux parce qu\u2019il y a \u00e9norm\u00e9ment de fuites \u00e0 cause de l\u2019absence de contr\u00f4le. Il faut trouver une solution \u00e0 cela\u00bb, s\u2019est-il expliqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>\u00abIl faut n\u00e9cessairement que l\u2019eau soit pay\u00e9e \u00e0 Touba \u00bb<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Pour le ministre, la solution devra certainement passer par la fin de la gratuit\u00e9 de l\u2019eau dans cette localit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abIl faut n\u00e9cessairement que l\u2019eau soit pay\u00e9e. A Touba, toutes les fractions (de la population) ne payent pas. Les banques, les boulangeries ne paient pas. Personne ne paie. Cela ne peut pas continuer. Aucun priv\u00e9 ne paie l\u2019eau \u00e0 Touba\u00bb, se d\u00e9sole-t-il.<\/p>\n<p>Au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, la ville de Touba est la seule qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie de la gratuit\u00e9 totale de l\u2019eau courante. Pourtant, dans cette localit\u00e9, la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019eau laisse \u00e0 d\u00e9sirer.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abLa qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019eau dans cette localit\u00e9 pose probl\u00e8me puisque la nappe pr\u00e9sente du sel. On ne peut pas boire l\u2019eau de Touba. Il faut n\u00e9cessairement anticiper sur l\u2019eau de Touba. Donc, il faut un programme structurant pour Touba. Maintenant, le probl\u00e8me est de savoir qui va financer et qui va payer. Ces questions sont en train d\u2019\u00eatre transcend\u00e9es par toutes les parties prenantes\u00bb, rench\u00e9rit Mansour Faye.<\/p>\n<p>Par cons\u00e9quent, la mauvaise qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019eau \u00e0 Touba incite les populations \u00e0 acheter de l\u2019eau min\u00e9rale qui \u00abco\u00fbte beaucoup plus cher\u00bb que l\u2019eau courante.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abEst-ce qu\u2019on va continuer comme \u00e7a ? Je pense que non. En tout cas, on est en train de travailler avec les autorit\u00e9s qui semblent comprendre cette dynamique.
