Les autorit\u00e9s ougandaises ont ferm\u00e9 23 stations de radio pour avoir promu la sorcellerie et essayer de d\u00e9tourner de l’argent aux populations.<\/p>\n

Les licences des stations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 suspendues apr\u00e8s que des invit\u00e9s ont affirm\u00e9 qu’ils pourraient soigner des maladies comme le VIH, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 mercredi Pamela Ankunda, porte-parole de la Commission des communications de l’Ouganda.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Les radios ont fait la promotion de la sorcellerie et les gens ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 sur ces radios soigner des maladies comme le SIDA et le cancer\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, a-t-elle dit.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Ces gens ont frauduleusement re\u00e7u de l’argent du public\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em> a-t-elle ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Leurs op\u00e9rations et licences ont \u00e9t\u00e9 suspendues jusqu’\u00e0 ce qu’elles soient en mesure d’assurer \u00e0 la commission par \u00e9crit qu’elles respecteront les normes minimales de diffusion\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Ankunda.<\/p>\n

Elle a dit que l’Ouganda a 292 stations de radio, la plupart priv\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Il n’est pas rare que divers dirigeants religieux, proph\u00e8tes autoproclam\u00e9s et gu\u00e9risseurs traditionnels en Afrique pr\u00e9tendent pouvoir gu\u00e9rir le VIH et d’autres maladies incurables sur ces plateformes.<\/p>\n
