Les premi\u00e8res \u00e9lections pr\u00e9sidentielle et l\u00e9gislative au Zimbabwe depuis la fin du long r\u00e8gne de l’ancien homme fort Robert Mugabe auront lieu en juillet, a annonc\u00e9 samedi l’actuel pr\u00e9sident Emmerson Mnangagwa.<\/p>\n

Les votes seront le premier grand test du nouveau leader, qui a pris le pouvoir en novembre apr\u00e8s qu’un coup d’Etat a forc\u00e9 le pr\u00e9sident Mugabe \u00e0 d\u00e9missionner.<\/p>\n

Elles seront \u00e9galement les premi\u00e8res sans Mugabe sur les bulletins de vote depuis l’ind\u00e9pendance obtenue de la Grande-Bretagne en 1980.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0En tant que nation, parti et gouvernement, nous attendons des \u00e9lections tr\u00e8s pacifiques, transparentes et harmonis\u00e9es en juillet de cette ann\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Mnangagwa aux journalistes apr\u00e8s une r\u00e9union avec le pr\u00e9sident sud-africain Cyril Ramaphosa, samedi soir.<\/p>\n

Mnangagwa, 75 ans, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les \u00e9lections seraient exemptes de violences qui ont caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 les votes pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents et qui \u00e9taient l’une des raisons des relations tendues entre le Zimbabwe et l’Occident.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0J’ai d\u00e9j\u00e0 invit\u00e9 tous les partis politiques au Zimbabwe \u00e0 une table ronde o\u00f9 nous nous engageons tous \u00e0 la non-violence\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, a-t-il ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Mnanaggwa soutient aussi qu’il invitera des observateurs occidentaux, qui avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 interdits sous le r\u00e8gne\u00a0 de Mugabe.<\/p>\n

L’hebdomadaire gouvernemental Sunday Mail a annonc\u00e9 qu’une \u00e9quipe pr\u00e9-\u00e9lectorale de l’Union europ\u00e9enne \u00e9tait attendue lundi \u00e0 Harare.<\/p>\n

Le chef de mission de l’UE au Zimbabwe, Phillipe Van Damme, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 au journal qu’il rencontrerait le pr\u00e9sident, les dirigeants des partis politiques et la Commission \u00e9lectorale du Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n

Mugabe, dans ses premiers commentaires depuis qu’il a d\u00e9missionn\u00e9, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 la semaine derni\u00e8re que la demarche de Mnangagwa \u00e9tait \u00ab\u00a0ill\u00e9gitime\u00a0\u00bb et une \u00ab\u00a0honte\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n
