Le pillage des biens culturels en Afrique lors de la colonisation est un sujet qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9voqu\u00e9 en 2016. Ce sujet vient de refaire surface lors de la visite en France, du pr\u00e9sident b\u00e9ninois Patrice Talon.<\/p>\n

En effet, Lors de sa rencontre ce lundi 5 mars avec son homologue Emmanuel Macron, le Pr\u00e9sident b\u00e9ninois a \u00e9voqu\u00e9 la restitution des biens culturels donn\u00e9s ou pill\u00e9s pendant la colonisation.<\/p>\n

Au sortir de cette rencontre, une \u00e9tude a \u00e9t\u00e9 confi\u00e9e \u00e0 B\u00e9n\u00e9dicte Savoy et Felwine Sarr afin de mener une analyse sur la restitution \u00e0 des pays africains des \u0153uvres d’art actuellement en France. L’historienne d’art, membre du Coll\u00e8ge de France, et l’\u00e9crivain et universitaire s\u00e9n\u00e9galais auront jusqu’\u00e0 novembre prochain pour rendre leur avis. Ils devront notamment examiner les conditions dans lesquelles ces \u0153uvres pourront \u00eatre rapatri\u00e9es puis prot\u00e9g\u00e9es dans leurs pays d’origine.<\/p>\n

Pour l’instant, la loi fran\u00e7aise ne permet pas ce type de restitution de mani\u00e8re d\u00e9finitive, mais Emmanuel Macron avait promis en novembre dernier \u00e0 Ouagadougou d’agir en ce sens. Patrice Talon r\u00e9clame depuis 2016 la restitution de ces biens. Une demande qu’il avait formellement adress\u00e9e \u00e0 la France et que le pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent gouvernement avait rejet\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Quatre autres annonces ont \u00e9t\u00e9 faites \u00e0 l’issue de la rencontre entre les deux pr\u00e9sidents. La France financera \u00e0 hauteur de 17,5 millions d’euros un futur centre hospitalier \u00e0 Abomey, au B\u00e9nin. 58 millions d’euros seront allou\u00e9s au d\u00e9veloppement d’une ville durable en faveur du climat. L’Agence fran\u00e7aise de d\u00e9veloppement financera \u00e0 hauteur de 43 millions d’euros le r\u00e9am\u00e9nagement de la cit\u00e9 de Ganvi\u00e9. L’AFD soutiendra \u00e9galement des projets li\u00e9s \u00e0 l’\u00e9ducation et \u00e0 la formation. Un partenariat dont se sont f\u00e9licit\u00e9s les deux chefs d’Etat<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
