Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 plusieurs implantations \u00e0 l’ext\u00e9rieur et bon nombre de groupes nationaux, ce pays de l’Afrique centrale dispose d’une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d’activit\u00e9s dans les secteurs forestiers et agricoles,\u00a0les hydrocarbures, l’industrie autour des boissons, sucrerie, huilerie, savonnerie, minoterie, aluminium, ciment, m\u00e9tallurgie, premi\u00e8re transformation du bois, etc.<\/p>\n

Le Cameroun faisait partie des \u00e9conomies les plus importantes en Afrique dans les ann\u00e9es 1980. Pendant pr\u00e8s de 20 ans, ce pays a enregistr\u00e9 des taux de croissance r\u00e9els de l’ordre de 7%. Cependant, dans les ann\u00e9es suivantes, une chute des cours du caf\u00e9, du cacao et du p\u00e9trole a entra\u00een\u00e9 une forte r\u00e9cession, donc une d\u00e9t\u00e9rioration des termes de l’\u00e9change.<\/p>\n

S’en suit donc une crise qui conduira \u00e0 la d\u00e9valuation du F CFA. en 1994. Imm\u00e9diatement, des programmes de stabilisation et d’ajustement structurel et des mesures de relance \u00e9conomique seront mises en place par le gouvernement camerounais.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
En fin 2006, le Cameroun franchit le point d’ach\u00e8vement de l’initiative PPTE (Pays pauvres tr\u00e8s endett\u00e9s), qui vise la r\u00e9orientation des fonds issus de la remise de dette vers le financement de projets de d\u00e9veloppement. Ce point d’ach\u00e8vement qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 report\u00e9 plut\u00f4t, en ao\u00fbt 2004, a fait b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier au pays une annulation de dette de 3,475 milliards de dollars\u00a0de la part des cr\u00e9anciers du Club de Paris et des cr\u00e9anciers priv\u00e9s (Club de Londres) et multilat\u00e9raux.<\/div>\n
Dans le cadre d’une strat\u00e9gie de diversification de son \u00e9conomie actuellement domin\u00e9e par le p\u00e9trole, le Cameroun a entrepris une politique qui vise la r\u00e9duction de sa d\u00e9pendance du secteur des hydrocarbures. Faire du Cameroun une \u00e9conomie \u00e9mergente \u00e0 l’horizon 2035 est l’objectif de ce programme.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
