Lors d\u2019une interview avec Voice of America tel que cit\u00e9 par le journal Daily News, Zhuwao aurait d\u00e9clar\u00e9\u00a0:<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Ils maltraitent le vieil homme, ils sont all\u00e9s voir des proph\u00e8tes et des gu\u00e9risseurs traditionnels et on leur a dit qu’ils maltraitaient le vieil homme mais ils n\u2019ont pas chang\u00e9, ils continuent \u00e0 le maltraiter\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Nous devons le respecter, il est all\u00e9 en guerre, il est all\u00e9 en prison, alors qu\u2019il luttait pour le peuple\u00a0\u00bb.<\/h4>\n

Les affirmations de Zhuwao surviennent peu de temps apr\u00e8s que le nouveau pr\u00e9sident Emmerson Mnangagwa a promis de prendre soin de Mugabe. Le gouvernement a r\u00e9cemment publi\u00e9 les privil\u00e8ges auxquels il aura droit. Ceux-ci comprennent un grand nombre de personnels de cuisiniers et de serveurs, de jardiniers et d’agents de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, deux maisons, une flotte de voitures et quatre voyages internationaux de premi\u00e8re classe par an.<\/p>\n

Zhuwao appartenait \u00e0 une faction qui soutenait l’ancienne premi\u00e8re dame Grace Mugabe. Il insiste sur le fait que le gouvernement de Mnangagwa est ill\u00e9gitime.<\/p>\n

Deux anciens ministres de l\u2019ex-pr\u00e9sident Robert Mugabe ont \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9s pour corruption et abus de pouvoir, avant d’\u00eatre lib\u00e9r\u00e9s sous caution ce samedi 6 janvier.<\/p>\n

Walter Mzembi et Samuel Undenge sont deux anciens hommes influents de l\u2019\u00e9poque de Robert Mugabe. Walter Mzembi a \u00e9t\u00e9 ministre des Affaires \u00e9trang\u00e8res, ministre du Tourisme. Il fait partie des militants de la Zanu-PF<\/strong>, qui ont r\u00e9cemment \u00e9t\u00e9 exclus du parti. D\u2019apr\u00e8s son avocat, la Commission anti-corruption enqu\u00eate notamment sur de pr\u00e9sum\u00e9s dons vers\u00e9s \u00e0 des \u00e9glises.<\/p>\n

Samuel Undenge est aussi un ancien cadre de la Zanu-PF. Il a cumul\u00e9 des portefeuilles minist\u00e9riels\u00a0: ancien ministre de l\u2019Energie et du D\u00e9veloppement, il a momentan\u00e9ment \u00e9t\u00e9 ministre de la Lutte contre la corruption.
