{"id":137,"date":"2023-06-16T12:30:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-16T11:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.afrikmag.com\/english\/?p=137"},"modified":"2023-06-16T14:20:57","modified_gmt":"2023-06-16T13:20:57","slug":"mario-balotelli-hits-his-sports-director-the-club-president-reacts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/afrikmag.com\/english\/mario-balotelli-hits-his-sports-director-the-club-president-reacts\/","title":{"rendered":"Mario Balotelli hits his sports director, the club president reacts!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Mario Balotelli, the controversial 32-year-old Italian striker who played for the Swiss football club Sion this season, punched his sports director in the face during the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The newspaper &#8216;Blick&#8217; reported that Balotelli and the sports director Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my Constantin decided to go to a costume party dressed as Pikachu from the Pok\u00e9mon series and as a character from the Spanish series &#8216;La Casa de Papel&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the strategy failed and one of the guests recognized Balotelli, who tried to photograph him while bothering the Italian footballer, and the situation eventually led to a verbal confrontation first, and then a fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the middle of the fight, Mario Balotelli punched Barth\u00e9l\u00e9my Constantin, who a week later had to sit on the bench with a bloodstained eye during the match between Sion and St. Gallen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mario Balotelli goes down with Sion: &#8220;He believes that the rules that govern a group are made for others&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This season, Mario Balotelli barely managed to score 6 goals in 18 matches with Sion, which eventually got relegated to the second division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mario Balotelli did not return the trust placed in him, nor rewarded the great effort we made. This boy believes that the rules that govern a group are made for others. If agents are interested in placing him in a country that does not value money as much as we do, maybe he will play again soon. Or not.
